Presented by Mirjana Askovic, PhD: STARTTS Neurofeedback Clinic was established in Sydney in 2007 to help refugees from war and victims of torture alleviate symptoms of PTSD through addressing the underlying neurobiological consequences of chronic trauma. After more than a decade of using neurofeedback within STARTTS bio-psycho-social model of care, we’ve developed a program that integrates clinical and neurophysiological assessment and offers several modalities of neuromodulation to enhance treatment outcomes for clients with chronic and complex presentations. In this presentation I will share with you our experiences in building neurofeedback program, challenges that we faced and lessons that we learned along the way. I will also present some of the encouraging outcomes of our program and its aims for the future.
